Easter

I used to love Easter. Easter meant Spring was around the corner. Easter meant fertility, new life, family, and the promise of new beginnings. When I think of Easter right now, I feel only sadness and grief. This Easter, I still won't have a baby to dress in an Easter outfit. This Easter, I still won't experience the joy of watching my child hunt for Easter eggs.
These are the years that my husband and I should be shopping for baby gear, reading pregnancy books, and decorating a nursery. Instead, we endure tests and treatments and one failure after another.
Good times...
C.
